Experienced Drafting Technician

Frank Technology, a new Scan-Plast and Tunetanken branch in Moldova, is an international company that develops, produces and markets a large number of different products manufactured, wholly or partly, in fibre-reinforced composite materials. We therefore address many different industries and customer groups.
We currently have an opportunity for a CAD Technician to join our engineering design team. You will be given the opportunity to work on a broad range of remodeling buildings projects. To carry out this role successfully, you will be responsible for the following duties:
Qualifications:

Able to create engineering designs, drawings and documentation with experience gained from an industrial environment;
Able to communicate effectively around engineering issues and able to present technical ideas clearly;
Extensive 3D CAD skills;
Ability to understand and read technical drawings;
Ability to grasp the big picture and provide effective solutions for a specific audience;
Computer competence, with a minimum of strong MS Word skills;
Affinity with technical systems;
Creative with the ability to innovate;
Ability to follow directions and willing to learn;
Must have a good business ethics, positive attitude and meet deadlines.

Experience:

A degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Interior Architecture or a related field would be of benefit;
Preferable 1-2 years of experience in AutoCad and ideally specifically related to Industrial/Commercial Design;
Portfolio of work.

Responsibilities:

Produces designs, working drawings, charts, forms and records using computer-aided design and drafting (CAD) software.
Works from rough sketches and specifications created by engineers and architects.
Coordinates with other workers to design, lay out, or detail components and systems and to resolve design or other problems.
Reviews and analyzes specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed.
Prepares designs for review by engineers and architects.
Specifies dimensions, materials, and procedures for new products.
Analyzes building codes, by-laws, space and site requirements, and other technical documents and reports to determine their effect on architectural designs.
